Mayor Menino makes bet with Denver's mayor

FOXBORO -- When Denver beat the Steelers, Pittsburgh’s mayor lost a bet and had to wear a Tebow jersey while striking his famous pose. Mayor Menino is confident of a Pats win, but will he make the same bet with Denver’s mayor?

“He wants me to do kneel down and do the Tebow. I said I kneel down every Sunday,” said Mayor Menino.

The mayor says the tradition wager of local products like chowder and beer is more likely.

“Sam Adams or Harpoon. We have the best. I mean, you know, Colorado beer?” said Mayor Menino.

Former Pats quarterback Steve Grogan says no one's inducting Tebow into the hall of fame quite yet.

“He is a lightning rod. You either love him or hate him. I think he’s going to be a good quarterback in the NFL but he’s going to take time to develop,” Grogan said.

Grogan says Tebow is no Tom Brady.

“There’s a lot of guys playing the game that have the same beliefs as him and just don’t show it the way he does,” Grogan said.

Once the Patriots win on Saturday night, Denver’s mayor will put on a Patriots jersey and Mayor Menino will get a Colorado steak.
