FOXBORO, Mass. -- Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler sang the National Anthem at the AFC Championship on Sunday but it was not what he was singing, but what he was wearing that had one Patriots fan singing a happy tune.

“I have been a Pats fan since I was a little kid, my dad had season tickets,” said Kerry McCormack.

McCormack works in the administration building at Gillette and was excited to see Steven Tyler walk through the door.

“He was coming for Mr. Kraft’s pregame party and came through, his fiancé was wonderful, was having a conversation, she brought him back out,” said McCormack.

When Tyler came back out to greet McCormack he asked her a favor.

“He asked me if he could borrow it, he was singing the national anthem, could he please borrow [my scarf] and I said you can borrow it as long as I can have it autographed when I get it back and he agreed,” said McCormack.

Now Kerry is planning on putting the scarf in a shadow box.

McCormack actually handmade the scarf and placed on her scarf was a dedication pin for Myra Kraft.

“I think she was up there at the edge of that goal post pushing, pushing, pushing,” said McCormack.

Kerry said the scarves are labor intensive to make.

“I hand make them all, it takes a long time but if they want one send me an email,” said McCormack.

McCormack encouraged those fans looking to get their hands on a scarf of their own to contact her at kerryart@yahoo.com.
