FOXBORO, Mass. -- Vince Wilfork credited Patriots fans for having a great impact on the team’s performance.

When it comes to the success of the season, Patriots players said the super fans are to blame. Whether it was winning the AFC Championship, beating Tim Tebow and the Broncos, do or die games on the road to the Super Bowl jacked up fans.

“During the Ravens game at the end I had turned to my husband and said, ‘I think this was the loudest I have ever heard this stadium,’ and I’ve been to many games. It was deafeningly loud,” said Jackie Lang, a Patriots fan.

Patriots players like Vince Wilfork said that the fans have been amazing.

“I wouldn’t trade it for nothing. I mean to come here and have a home playoff game with the Denver Broncos. It probably was the loudest I’ve heard the stadium,” said Vince Wilfork, Patriots defensive lineman.

Pats fans come well beyond New England too.

“We’re down from Pennsylvania. We’re up here just to support our team. We have to deal with all the riff-raff and everything else going on around us,” said Scott McPhee, a non-New England Patriots fan.

Whether Patriots fans have tickets to Indy, or are cheering their team on from home, it seems fans aren’t about to miss any chance to cheer on their heroes, including this Sunday’s sendoff rally.

“I’ll be here. I’m getting my son and we’re coming down. We’ll be here probably seven in the morning waiting,” said Shannon Gray, Patriots fan. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

The Patriots told 7News they are expecting 10,000 people at Gillette Stadium for Sunday’s sendoff rally.
