Players' families head to Indy to cheer them on

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Things are about to get even more hectic for the Patriots players as their families are now on their way to Indy.
Before the sun went up over Gillette Stadium Thursday, Patriots family members gathered at the stadium, ready to head out to Indianapolis.
Devin McCourty's mom says she still remembers taking the Pats cornerback to his Pop Warner game.
“It’s been really exciting,” she said. “Two years in the NFL, last year the Pro Bowl, this year the Super Bowl -- I said to him ‘what’s next’?”
And Tiquan Underwood's girlfriend let us in on the secret to the wide out's much talked about hair.
“He’s had it for a while so I’m used to it,” she said. “I’m used to washing it for him and blow drying it.”
“I feel good, hopefully the Pats take over and win and best of luck,” said Anthony Gorrell, Underwood’s cousin.
And Matt Light's wife talked about her husband's latest comment regarding Giants defensive lineman Osi Umenyiora.
“I have a hard time understanding what my wife says to me on a daily basis so I try not to read too much into anything,” Light said on Wednesday.
“He threw me under the bus there to protect himself I’m not sure why he did that,” Light’s wife responded Thursday morning. “But I’m on my way to see him right now. I’m very excited.”
Matt Light’s children have been to the Super Bowl five times and Light’s wife said they are a bit jaded.
“We have to convince them how cool it is to be able to go because they’re not into it yet but I think they are excited this trip,” said Susie Light.
Family members said they have had a chance to speak with some of the players. They’ve been talking about some really hard practices and focusing -- and no one has gotten any information about the status of Rob Gronkowski’s ankle.
