Pats just one restless night away from Super Bowl

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Patriots were done practicing, left only with a few team meetings in their hotel Saturday. The team is focused on the final hours leading up to kick-off and waiting until the buses leave for Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday afternoon.
With seven Super Bowl veterans, the Patriots know how to prepare for the longest game of their lives. They say it is about conserving energy before game time.
“I’m not one of the crazy guys, I don’t think we really have any of those bang your head on the locker guys here,” said Logan Mankins, Patriots offensive lineman.
The Super Bowl pregame itself is a show and with the controlled environment inside Lucas Oil Stadium, the Patriots will not overdo it in warm-ups.
“I’m just not going to waste all my energy in warm-up, you know, I might kick a little less. There’s no outside elements to deal with so once I get a feel for how I’m kicking I’ll stop. The game is the most important thing,” said Stephen Gostkowski, Patriots kicker.
The veterans said they would be keeping an eye on the first-timers to make sure they don’t get off course.
“You got to deal with it. You have to explain to those guys as much as possible that you can’t use too much energy,” said Kevin Faulk, Patriots running back.
Preparation is over for the Patriots and they are now just one restless night of sleep away from game day.
