Behind enemy lines: Giants fans in Boston

BOSTON -- 400 Giants fans are getting together to watch Super Bowl XLVI in Boston.
“We’ve been there three years in a row, that’s our home, that’s where we’ll be,” said Johnny Khatcherian, a New York Giants fan.
Hunkered down in enemy territory, members of the ‘Boston NY Giants Fan Club’ will fill The Greatest Bar in Boston to watch the Super Bowl.
“You know, it’s the biggest game of the year, we’ll definitely be out in full force. We typically get 100 people per game, we’re looking at about 400 for the Super Bowl,” said Johnny.
Giants fans have been going to The Greatest Bar for several years to watch Giants games.
“It’s pretty weird for me, it’s one thing I got to cater to them because they’ve been coming for so long and take care of us, they bring a crowd but at the same time I’m a diehard Pats fan,” said Jimmy Ferola of The Greatest Bar.
Patriots fans at The Greatest Bar on Saturday night were surprised Giants fans would be there Sunday for the Super Bowl.
“There are Giants fans in Boston? I wasn’t even aware of that,” said a Patriots fan.
Johnny Khatcherian would not say what he thought the outcome of the game would be.
“I don’t predict anything, I’m cautiously optimistic,” said Johnny.
He said they have not had any problems with Patriots fans in the past and they don’t expect any problems Sunday.
