FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- A company affiliated with the owners of the New England Patriots has dropped a federal civil rights lawsuit against Foxborough.

The suit filed by FXP last month claimed that representatives of the Kraft Group were denied an opportunity to speak with town selectmen about a dispute involving two billboards on Kraft-owned land near Gillette Stadium. The town and FXP share revenue from the billboards under a five-year agreement, but the town has proposed putting management of the billboards out to bid when the agreement ends next month.

After a judge granted an order allowing FXP to speak at a March 27 selectmen's meeting, the town dropped a proposal to take the disputed land by eminent domain.

The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro reports that lawyers for the company and town signed an agreement ending the lawsuit.
