Tom Brady tackles comedy in new online ad

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Tom Brady is tackling comedy, playing himself in a new online commercial.

Brady lets his hair down, revealing a little more of himself in the commercial. He traded his cleats for comedy in the commercial  which shows off Brady's acting chops, and Pats fans love the new look.

“I thought it was really good and how they did that. He’s just really hilarious,” a Patriots fan said.

In the ad, posted on comedy website Funny or Die, a sports store employee says he can't understand Brady because of his thick Boston accent.

The video -- which was just posted Tuesday morning -- already has more than a quarter million views.

7News showed it to some people in Boston. They were impressed, and even excited to see the normally private quarterback step outside his comfort zone.

“It was really funny, really good actor. I’m not expecting him to be a really good actor but when he flipped out like that it was actually pretty hilarious,” one man said.
