NFL referee lockout: What each side wants

UNDATED (WHDH) -- It could be a while before the locked out NFL refs return to the field. They're in talks with the league but there are still major hold ups.
Here is a breakdown of what each side wants:
Referee demands:
- Increased salaries
- Better benefits
- Keep pension
NFL demands:
- 401(k) plan
- More accountability
The referees say they want increased salaries, better benefits and they want to keep their pension plan.
The NFL, on the other hand, is looking to replace that pension plan with a more traditional -- and less expensive -- 401(k) plan.
They also want to be able to "bench" referees who make mistakes as a way to hold them more accountable.
