WALPOLE, Mass. (WHDH) -- You can now start your morning off with a whole bowl full of Gronk.
Patriots’ tight end Rob Gronkowski took his talents to the breakfast aisle with Gronk Flakes.
“I thought it was a great idea,” said Gronkowski.
The frosted cornflakes are packaged with his face on the box.
“Ah that picture, I really didn’t pick it out,” said Gronkowski. “This was taken my rookie year before any games I played here…Just thought it would be a good idea because I’m looking kinda young.”
What does Gronkowski say will happen when you eat his cereal?
“You get buff,” said Gronkowski.
While they may be Gronk-a-licious, the proceeds will go to sponsor the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation.
“It’s out mission to give kids an organization for kids to grow up to have the tools necessary in order to be out there with their friends, be out there in the community playing,” said Gronkowski.
Fans say they’re sure Gronk Flakes will fly off the shelves.
“I hope they’re good because we’re going to buy a box,” said one woman.
Gronk Flakes went on sale this weekend and 5,000 boxes have already been sold.
When asked if he planned on buying a box for his teammates, Gronkowski said they could buy them for themselves.
