FOXBOROUGH (WHDH) -- The Patriots are just three days away from play-off football.
The Pats will begin their quest for another Super Bowl against the Houston Texans in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs.
The players practiced in Foxboro yesterday. The team hopes to repeat a week 14 blowout victory over the Texans, but players and coaches are preparing for a tough game this Sunday.
"The coaches are doing an excellent job making sure everyone knows: 'You're one play away from being at home.' I think guys are ready to go,” said Jerod Mayo, Patriots linebacker.
"It's always about risk-reward in football. I think there are calculated risks and judgment that you make as a player on every single play, whether that's my position or whether you're a defensive tackle. So 'Should I try to go for it or should I not?' and I think that's what you train yourself to do over the course of a long season,” said Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady.
The Patriots are currently favored to win Sunday’s game.
7News will have a Patriots pre-game special Sunday morning. Adam Williams, Sarah French, Nancy Chen, Jeremy Reiner, and Rhett Lewis will all be live at Gillette Stadium.
The special begins Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
