FOXBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- The rivalry between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens isn’t just felt on the field. Fans feel the intensity and they’re looking forward to another chance to knock out Baltimore.
One year ago it came down to a missed field goal. Now, the same two rival teams are facing off again in the same stadium for the same prize.
“[I’m] looking forward to it,” said Kevin Lemoine, a Patriots fan. “Baltimore always puts up a tough game and it’s going to be interesting to see how it goes down.”
The owner of Red Rooster Pub, just two miles from Gillette Stadium, has extra staff on hand, and extra brews on tap for Sunday’s showdown.
The one place he won't be is behind the counter.
He was in the stands for Sunday's win over the Texans and plans on seeing it through to the end this year
“I’ve been to 10 Super Bowls, I was there in Indianapolis last year, I wouldn't miss a super bowl in New Orleans for the world,” the owner said.
Patriots’ fans are looking for a win, but hoping they don’t have to depend on a missed kick to get it. Fans are also showing concern about the Ravens’ legendary linebacker Ray Lewis.
“Sure I’m worried,” said Jay Hall, a Patriots fan. “I think Ray Lewis is sort of a Cinderella story for him.”
As for the Patriots, they give a respectful nod to the retiring Lewis, but they hope to end his career at Gillette on Sunday.
