HINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) -- The Pats took a time out from practice and watching film, and had one last day off before Sunday’s showdown with Baltimore.
On the Patriots’ last day off before Sunday’s big AFC Championship game, 7News wondered how some of the players were spending their downtime.
Patrick Chung and his wife were at a screening for Mark Wahlberg's new movie.
When asked what he does on an off day, Chung replied, “Go out and just relax a little bit. Spend time with my wife and just hang out.”
His wife shared with 7News that she, along with other wives, are very superstitious on game day.
“Routine is important. So if we didn’t do something in the game before, we’re not going to do it. All the wives -- we do that. So we’re like, ‘Um, if we didn’t do this the last game, so we’re not going to do it this game,” said Cecilia Chung.
That’s not all. Just like Vince Wilfork's wife, Cecilia sends Chung text messages during the game.
“I always send him encouraging words throughout the game,” Cecilia Chung said.
7News also ran into Rob Gronkowski's brother, Dan, who plays for the Cleveland Browns and asked him how Gronk's season-ending surgery went.
“He’s a warrior and he wants to play. He just got off his injury so I feel for him. It’s part of the game so…he’ll bounce back though,” said Dan Gronkowski.
