MD paper trashes Pats in list of why Ravens will win

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WHDH) -- The Baltimore Sun listed numerous reasons why the Ravens could win the Super Bowl this year. Many reasons were taking jabs at the New England Patriots.

The list begins by saying in honor of retiring Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, who wears No. 52, the list has 52 reasons why the Baltimore Sun is counting on the Ravens beating the Patriots and going on to win the Super Bowl.

Reasons 18 and 24 are that Tom Brady is a cry baby and a punk because he scowls and whines like a middle schooler when he gets sacked.

“I think that’s utterly ridiculous. I think jealousy is a huge factor because everyone wants to be Tom Brady. Everybody wants Tom Brady,” said Crystal Holmes, a Patriots fan.

The newspaper said Brady is like Johnny from the “Karate Kid” and Bill Belichick is his evil mentor.

“Well there’s nothing evil about Bill Belichick,” said Holmes.

Reason No. 26: Weather won’t stop them, if the Ravens can win at Mile High Stadium in Denver at minus-2 degrees they can win in Foxborough.

“I don’t think weather will affect either one of them. I think it comes down to just who is the better team, the better player and who’s tougher,” said Sherry Courtois, a Patriots fan.

Reason No. 31: Boston doesn’t need the Super Bowl win because God already gave Boston its due by having Ben Affleck win the Golden Globe award for best director.

Patriots’ fans say it’s all baloney.

As one Patriots fan put it: They talk well down in Baltimore, but talk is cheap. We’ll see how they play on Sunday.
