MEDFORD, Mass. (WHDH) -- A sign on Interstate 93 in Medford is counting down until Ravens’ Ray Lewis' retirement party.
Fans are hoping that New England will be the ones celebrating Sunday. And it seems like everyone is having a little fun with the renewed rivalry.
The flashy billboard on I-93 in Medford counts down the days, hours, and minutes to the much-hoped-for retirement party of Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis.
The legendary Lewis, who has punished his opponents and entertained fans with his famous dance, is retiring from football at the end of the season.
The only question is will his season end with the Super Bowl in February? Or will it come to a close at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on Sunday?
“I think this Sunday will be a good day for him to wrap it up,” a fan said.
Patriots players didn’t talk about ending Lewis’ career, even though they know that's what will get them to the Super Bowl.
“It’s a pleasure playing against him. He’s been consistent over the years, durable, tough instinctive,” Tom Brady said.
