FOXBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Patriots owner Robert Kraft gave an emotional thank you to masonry students at Greater Lowell Tech High School after they presented him with a mosaic honoring his late wife Myra.

The students hope it will be a good luck charm for the players to touch before games.

“I think maybe we’ll put it outside the locker room, and let all the players see it. And if they wish to touch it, they’ll have that option,” said Kraft.

In return Kraft had a little surprise for the kids: free tickets to the AFC Championship game on Sunday.

“I didn’t even know. That’s why I was like, ‘Oh my God,’ I’m excited. It’s amazing,” said Selena Regan.

Kraft is hoping to repeat the history that was made at Gillette last year when Patriots beat the Ravens and advanced to the Super Bowl.

“I really do believe the two best teams in the division are playing and it’s going to be a hard-fought game. And please, God, the Patriots come out on top,” said Kraft.

Kraft says the team’s years of success come not only from the players and coaches, but also from the fans.

“Our fans have really become a true weapon. Now I think they truly understand the role they play and we haven’t had to coach them. I listen to visiting teams when they leave here and say what an impact our fan base has had on them,” said Kraft.
