Red Sox ready for Buchholz to take on game 3
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WHDH) -- After scoring 19 runs in the first two games, the sox ever-powerful offense plans to provide Clay Buchholz with the same kind of support in game 3.
The team says they have full confidence in their wiry righty, who went 12-1 this season.
"Clay's getting back to the mound, we felt like, if we didn't rush it and he didn't suffer another setback, it could give our rotation a huge lift, which it has,” Sox coach John Farrell said.
"I'm going to just try to do the same thing that I’ve done all year go out there pound the zone and throw strikes keep your team in the game and try to get your hitters in the dugout as quick as possible," Buchholz said.
