Sweet Cupcakes bake up Red Sox fever
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Despite the Red Sox’s Game 4 loss, Boston fans remain optimistic and still expecting a World Series appearance. Local businesses are showing their support and hoping they can bake up a winner with fans.
At Sweet Cupcakes in Boston the bakery's Sox fever has spread to its confections.
“We have the Pedroia, the Lackey and the Victorino. It’s a little more fun than their logo, just to switch it up, while everyone’s excited about their beards they're growing out and we're trying to run with the fun,” said Stephanie Telesco, manager at Sweet Cupcakes.
They're "getting beard" for the postseason with these special sugary treats.
“We make the edible fondant toppers all custom handmade. Each player that's growing out a beard we have a cupcake designed for them,” said Telesco.
Kelli Pedroia even tweeted:
The beards are even offered on cookies, and will last as long as the Sox season does.
The bakery hopes their beards bring as much luck as the players.
