A Red Sox love story all the way from Alaska
BOSTON (WHDH) -- They love the game, and it's how they fell in love with each other. Two big Red Sox fans made the trip, all the way from Anchorage, Alaska to Boston to watch their beloved Sox.
Rick and Suzanne Boots along with their six-year-old son Jack seem to have a love affair with the Red Sox.
“We flew all night. Frankly I did the calculation and we were up for about 40 hours by the time we went to bed,” said Rick Boots.
The Sox have won the pennant and now they're staying to see the Sox in the World Series.
“It takes a team to win,” said Suzanne Boots.
Suzanne grew up in Shrewsbury but moved to Alaska and married Rick after the Sox beat the Cardinals to win the World Series in 2004.
Their first date was at the Sox team store across from the ball park.
Not long after marrying they had Jack and brought him to a World Series game in 2007.
Fast forward to this week and the Boots Family flew nearly 5,000 miles from home to see the Sox in yet another World Series.
