Sox fans taking excitement into Game 2
BOSTON (WHDH) -- After Wednesday night's big win, Red Sox nation was flying high; the “beards buried the birds.”
All Sox fans love to think they're the most "Fenway faithful" but some guys have been in line since 10:30 Wednesday night for a shot to get "day of" tickets to the World Series.
“We have a tent set up .. ya.. tent some blankets .. extra layers of clothing. A little early but it’s cool to be out here ... good atmosphere,” said Jeremiah Gaimu, Sox fan.
Red Sox nation pumped up after last night's big win in Game 1.
“Great win last night you know Cardinals shot themselves in the foot so hopefully we’ll get another big win today,” said Daniel Saltzberg, Sox fan.
On the other side of Fenway Park, even statues suddenly are sporting red whiskers.
“Well they are the Red Sox so it makes sense right? Yeah I think it’s cool,” another fan said.
“I think it’s pretty great all throughout the park everywhere, they all got beards even the ducks,” said Steph Wattie, Sox fan.
Fans think the beards might just be the good luck charm the team needs.
