TORONTO (AP) -- David Ortiz homered, Clay Buchholz won his sixth straight start in Toronto and the Boston Red Sox beat the Blue Jays 7-2 Friday night, their fourth victory in five games.
Daniel Nava had three doubles and Adrian Gonzalez had three hits for the Red Sox, who have not lost consecutive games since May 8 and 9 at Kansas City.
Buchholz (5-2) won for the first time in four starts, giving up two runs, both on solo homers, and six hits in a season-high eight innings. The right-hander improved to 6-2 with a 1.72 ERA in eight career starts at Rogers Centre. His six consecutive wins in Toronto are the most ever by a Red Sox pitcher.
Scott Atchison finished in the ninth for the Red Sox.
Henderson Alvarez (3-5) took the loss.
