BOSTON (WHDH) -- Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett dispelled reports of a mutiny at Fenway on Tuesday.

“Completely fabricated. People want that to be the case and I just don’t think it is. I think this is probably one of the tightest knit groups that I’ve ever been a part of,” said Josh Beckett, Red Sox pitcher.

Although despite their best efforts in the clubhouse and on the field, the Sox remain dead last in the American League East.

“Sometimes we seem like we’re playing really well and we’ll hit a skid and then we’ll play really well again,” said Cody Ross, outfielder.

“We’ve been grinding out games. We’re still at .500 right now. I think these could be way worse with the injuries we’ve had. We’re still battling, and so that’s why I want to get back and help the team as much as possible,” said Carl Crawford, outfielder.
