BOSTON (WHDH) -- One of the greatest sluggers in Red Sox history could be about to become a free agent.
A source told the Boston Globe that David Ortiz and the Red Sox are not close to reaching a contract agreement.
Boston has until Friday to make a qualifying offer for Ortiz.
