UNDATED (WHDH) -- The Red Sox are still in the mix to sign all-star free agent outfielder Josh Hamilton.
ESPN reported Hamilton was still looking for deal that lasts at least six years.
The Sox aren't going to offer a deal that long, but team officials are hopeful Hamilton could agree to a shorter contract.
Hamilton has been with the Rangers since 2008.
He won the 2010 AL MVP.
