Report: Mass. leads nation in flu vaccinations

BOSTON -- The Bay State has come out on top in the fight against the flu.

Massachusetts vaccinated more people against the H1N1 flu and seasonal flu over the fall and winter than any other state.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health says 36 percent of Bay Staters got the flu shot -- 15 percent higher than the national average.

Also, 57 percent got the seasonal flu vaccine in Massachusetts compared to 37 percent nationwide.
