Blasts at major Nigerian newspaper offices
ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) -- Witnesses say the offices for a major Nigerian newspaper have been bombed in capital and the city of Kaduna, causing unknown injuries.
The explosion occured around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the offices of ThisDay in Abuja. An Associated Press reporter who heard the explosion said it was very large. Police and paramilitary forces have already surrounded the office.
Gbayode Somuyiwa, ThisDay's spokesman didn't immediately return calls for comment.
Witnesses said another blast in the city of Kaduna hit the offices there.
The main offices for the company are in Lagos.
