CA couple goes missing in Peru

UNDATED (WHDH) -- Authorities in Peru have launched a search for a California couple reported missing while on a biking trip through the country.
The families of Garrett Hand and Jamie Neal said they last heard from the pair on January 25th, the day before they were expected to arrive in Lima after traveling several hundred miles from Cuzco.
Security camera images from a bus company in Cuzco appear to show images of Hand and Neal waiting to board the bus and on the bus.
"From the bus terminal in Cuzco, we can affirm that they left from Cuzco to Lima with complete tranquility and security. And the bus arrived in Lima without any mishap,” said Rolando Espinoza of the Cruz del Sur bus company.
Both Hand and Neal are 25 and from the San Francisco Bay area.
Their disappearance coincides with a travel advisory issued by the U.S. Embassy this month that warns foreign tourists near Cuzco and the ancient city of Machu Picchu of a possible kidnapping threat.
