What is RSS?

RSS stands for 'really simple syndication'. It is used to distribute news headlines to computer users based on pre-selected topics that interest them such as local news or sports or certain 7News segments, such as our daily Healthcast segments.

How do I use RSS?

RSS/News aggregators, or readers, will automatically download and display headlines for the topics you're interested in. These readers can be web-based or stand-alone programs as well as integrated into your e-mail applications.

How do I use a my RSS reader/news aggregator?

Once you have a reader/aggregator, simply click on any orange XML button (  ) and you'll be subscribed to that particular topic. The reader will display the story headline and a brief description of the article. To read more, simply click on the headline.

How do I subscribe?

Look for the orange XML graphic on this pages and elsewhere on the site. Click on the image over the image and copy the URL for the topic you'd like. In your news reader, select the option that adds a new feed or channel, then paste in the URL and click OK.

If you use My Yahoo!, look for Add-to-My-Yahoo! buttons . Click to instantly add content to your page. Do the same with the Add-to-Google buttons
