What is RSS?

RSS stands for 'really simple syndication'. It is used to distribute news headlines to computer users based on pre-selected topics that interest them such as local news or sports or certain 7News segments, such as our daily Healthcast segments.

RSS/News aggregators, or readers, will automatically download and display headlines for the topics you're interested in. These readers can be web-based or stand-alone programs as well as integrated into your e-mail applications.

How do I use a my RSS reader/news aggregator?

Once you have a reader/aggregator, simply click on any orange XML button (  ) and you'll be subscribed to that particular topic. The reader will display the story headline and a brief description of the article. To read more, simply click on the headline.
