We're Moving On

Posted by Pete Bouchard

Well, what can you say? The NFL is probably the most grueling, most highly anticipated, and, unfortunately, most demoralizing league around. Heck, even if your team is out in October, at least you can hope for a good Superbowl. And that's just what we had this weekend. A dual to the end. Although we know SOMEONE has to lose, we just hoped it wouldn't be the Pats.

Humph. Hope. It is the quintessential human delusion, simultaneously the source of your greatest strength, and your greatest weakness.

-The Architect (The Matrix Reloaded, 2003)

Then let the delusion continue. We'll see you in late summer, Pats.

Speaking of seasons, felt more like spring today. In fact, it acted more like spring, with a cold start in the 20s and a bounce into the 50s (along with a mulch fire in Peabody). Sun angle is higher, days are longer...won't be long now.

Before we get all worked up about flowers and lawns, a shot of arctic air is en route for the end of the week. At first it looked like a menacing and deep-winter cold. But there are signs now that this push of cold, while numbing in the morning, will be tempered by sunshine in addition to being short-lived.

So besides our big shot of cold, the "big" weather event of the week is a band of light snow and flurries on Wednesday. May be enough for a coating to an inch in some spots. (Oh boy!) We'll keep you apprised.

Go Red Sox!

Shaping The Weekend Forecast

Posted by Pete Bouchard

Hard to describe the last few week's weather with a witty phrase or a funny anecdote.

We've had some sun, a few nice weekends...and some rain. It's been warm, it's been cool, and, at times, it's been perfect.

Busy Day

Posted by Dylan Dreyer

What a crazy  busy and wonderful Wednesday I just had. I spent most of the morning in Mansfield for a school visit at the Robinson School for my nephew, then a visit to Mansfield High School to see the Senior Presentation for the student, Lindsay, I mentored for her senior year. Then it was back to Boston for an amazing charity event supporting the Charlestown YMCA. I met so many fabulous people all day long...young and young at heart!

Here Comes Summer

Posted by Jeremy Reiner

Oh so close to that Holiday Weekend. The Memorial Day weekend does indeed kick-off summer so think of today & the rest of the week as *pre-season* tune up for mom nature. Classic day where we started with clouds & fog but by coffee break time, that sun was alive & kicking. The humidity stay around and combined with that strong May sunshine ganged up on us popping a few afternoon t-storms. These storms were briefly intense but not much teeth with them after 30-45 minutes.

Staying Damp

Posted by Dylan Dreyer

I decided to finally hit up the grocery store yesterday. The best part about grocery shopping in the rain is that there really aren't too many other people shopping. The worst part about grocery shopping in the rain is...grocery shopping in the rain. No wonder why the smarter people stay home. Carrying in bags soaking wet is no fun. But the fresh Tilapia and broccoli and the homemade strawberry shortcake was worth the trip!
