Crank It Up Again

Another round of record breaking heat is on the way. The concern with this round of heat is the timing---the Boston Marathon on Monday. That heat is in the south & midwest right now but it is on the move & will reach New England tomorrow with many towns near 80 by afternoon. To get that very warm bubble of air into new England, we'll go through some weather, mainly in the form of clouds & perhaps a few isolated showers very late tonight/early tomorrow morning. After 8am, the threat for rain showers will be over.
Monday will be the hottest of the expected 3-day warm spell. Here are the forecast numbers for Marathon Monday through the day:
In terms of wind, plan on a southwest wind the entire day around 10-20 mph with wind gusts over 25 mph at times.
By Tuesday, the air won't be quite as hot but temps will still finish nearly 30 degrees above normal---up near 80. In terms of rain, no significant moisture in sight. #NotGood.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.
