Getting used to the 50s and clouds the last several days hasn't exactly been the early May theme that we'd like to see, but it is spring in New England, and we do go through these weather ruts at times.
The good news is, we have improvements for the weekend. While we won't break out into the 80s and sunshine that has greeted parts of NY and PA the last few days, we'll take the small improvements to get us at least dry weather and temps in the 60s this afternoon. We'll call it "baby steps" on the moving up on the improvement scale. Don't expect tons of sunshine this afternoon, but some breaks/bright spots in the overcast are certainly possible.
More sunshine returns tomorrow after patchy morning fog. Temps slide into the upper 50s to low 60s near the coast, to middle to upper 60s inland.
Monday is even better with highs near 70 inland.... still 60-65 at the coast with a southeast wind.
Next batch of rain arrives Tuesday, and as that front gets hung up along the coast, an area of low pressure will develop along it and bring more rain for Wednesday and Thursday.
Drier by Friday.
