Changeable

The weekend is here!......and so are the raindrops. Hold on now, these showers are part of change. A process of moving out the extreme heat with more seasonable weather for early summer. That process can be slow moving this time of year so that's why we'll see (or did see depending on when you read this) 2 chances of showers early (before 9am) & late (after 3pm). By no means is today a washout though..not by a longshot as we will see a fair amount of sunshine from 10am until 3pm. That sunshine will easily boost temps into the low 80s for much of the region. Not nearly as a hot as the past 3 days but with the humidity around plan on another somewhat uncomfortable afternoon.
Sunday is the pick of the weekend. Sunshine all day, low humidity and temps in the low 80s. Just dandy for outdoor activities.
Looking into next week, another round of showers is likely for Monday and that could be all day. Temps will be pinned down into the 70s for much of the day. We will dry it out by midweek and temps behave themselves with readings in the 70s. There are signs in the tea leaves (also known as the ECMWF weather model--lol) that another bubble of hot air heads this way toward next weekend.
Have a great weekend!

Pulling The Fade

Our fun in the sun ends this afternoon as morning sunshine fades behind thickening clouds. As those clouds increase, a few showers break out this afternoon from west to east, with the highest chance for rain late afternoon and this evening. Most of the showers are light, especially the early afternoon ones, but a heavier shower or two is possible near day's end and early this evening. Highs reach the mid to upper 60s around noon, then fall back to near 60 mid to late afternoon thanks to scattered showers. These showers are brought to us by a warm front.

Quite a few clouds in the sky at times this afternoon, but the atmosphere lacked ample moisture to produce showers, so we made out just fine with temps near 70. Even the coast made it well into the 60s before the onshore wind knocked temps back.

Pretty Good Weekend Overall

Sure, it's a cool start with many of the suburbs down into the upper 30s and lower 40s, but we'll warm up quickly through the day as that sun helps us out.

Strong Finish

An overall cooler day, but also a great end to the workweek as highs neared 70, low humidity continued and plenty of sunshine dominated the skies. Now all we need is this to continue through the weekend right?
