What A Difference
Posted by Jeremy Reiner
Sheesh.....70s yesterday with abundant sunshine and now we are staring at 50s with rain developing....what a difference a day makes. The reason is a strong cold front that blasted its way through here last night (with thunderstorms mind you) and now has left a bag of chilly air behind.
The other thing about this cold front is that it has stalled just offshore & will hang out along the east coast for the next several days. This front will act like a highway for cars to travel along. The *cars* are storms and the first of a few is on the way as I blog. Clouds are already here and the raindrops are a few hours behind. that means you have a few dry hours this morning into the early afternoon but plan on raindrops--scattered at first---anytime after 3pm and into the evening. So yes, bring the rain-gear to Gillette today. It will serve you well.
This storm is a quick-mover and will peel out of here after midnight. Good as we can salvage the end of the holiday weekend with a mix of sun & clouds on Monday. Temps will be seasonably cool with afternoon temps near 60.
By Tuesday, another car---err--storm arrives with a fresh batch of clouds & rain scattered throughout the day. Cool weather continues.
Have a great Sunday.
