Taking A Break
Posted by Jeremy Reiner
After a cold November it is a little goofy that the first week of December will be a warm week...no worries snow lovers, just taking a break from our cold pattern. Today & tomorrow will the warmest of the next several with afternoon highs expected to reach the low & mid 50s---we're nearly there now with many towns close to 50! There are some clouds out there now but sun does make it a comeback during the day.
Tuesday offers more mild weather but also a fair amount of clouds. Despite more clouds, we will still see temperatures up near 50 throughout the afternoon. Those clouds are out ahead of our next weather player--a cool front that is set to arrive on Wednesday.
Wednesday sees that cool front (notice I said cool and not arctic?) slide through here with some morning rain showers. Behind this system temps will slowly fall back from the low 50s during the morning into the mid 40s by evening. Thursday will be our first day this week with *normal* temps--afternoon highs in the mid 40s. Nothing wrong with being normal. Have a great day!

The last day of spring will be fantastic! What a way to close the books on the vernal season. Only sun today with afternoon temps in the upper 70s--a great day for all outdoor activities.

That's A Wrap--I Think

I hope I'm not jinxing us with this statement.."The recent wet pattern is over....onto sunshine & a more summer- like pattern.." The last time someone from 7 weather called a pattern change too soon we got a blizzard and 3 subsequent nor'easters (looking at you Pete!!--LOL). We don't have to worry about any blizzards or nor'easters but one never knows in the new world order.

If you were caught in those 'cloudbursts' today, you had more than you could handle in the rain department. Torrents fell in a short amount of time - what we deem 'flash flooding' in the weather biz. Since it happens suddenly, the National Weather Service has adopted the acronym TADD:
