Christmas In April

Posted by Jeremy Reiner

Christmas In April?!?!---A weird movie and also our theme lately. Temps once again running in the 50s this morning and will stay warm all day. Unlike Monday when we flirted with 60 during the afternoon, temps this afternoon will actually take a couple of steps back and hang in the low 50s. The reason is a cool front moving through the region right now. This front is producing a few showers but the showers will be long gone by 9am. From mid morning & the rest of the day the sun will shine. A developing breeze will grab your attention at times.

It's back to reality tomorrow with cold all over the place. We'll start Thursday in the mid 20s and crawl through the upper 30s during the afternoon. The sun will shine but he's really only there for moral support.

Friday offers more sunshine early in the day but clouds begin to take over the sky by afternoon. Those clouds will be out ahead of our next weather system--a system that is slow moving and drawn out. (see where I'm about to go??)

This system is ours for the weekend and it will be a warm system. Plan on cloudy skies both weekend days. Saturday offers showers scattered for much of the day and Sunday will see more clouds but little if any rain. Mild each day with afternoon highs near 50.

This Is How It Starts? Really?

So it's the unofficial start of summer this weekend and officially, the average high this time of year hits 70 degrees.  So you'd think we have a good shot at BBQ weather right?  Not much of a chance today with highs reaching near 50 this morning, only to fall back into the low to mid 40s this afternoon as a cold rain settles in.

Rain, rain, rain...

...but for many today was a day of hurry up and wait. Sure there were showers, but not every minute was washed out. With the events unfolding tonight, that's about to change.

Come On Ride The Train

Posted by Pete Bouchard

Heavy rain is on the move! All afternoon long it was stalled over Western Massachusetts and Connecticut. Heavy pulses of rain traveled over the same towns and cities - a process meteorologists call "training" - resulting in flash flooding in some counties to our west.
