Up and Down We Go

What a weekend! The nice weather timed out perfectly for us, but now we have rain to track tonight.
Showers start overspreading the area between 7-8PM and despite being a very quiet weekend, it'll be an active overnight. There will be several hours (mainly from 10PM-2AM), when rain is locally heavy and thunder and lightning are a possibility. Along with the rain will come strong winds, and a couple hours either side of midnight, winds could gust past 40mph across SE Mass, especially along the coastline. The rain and wind are quick to taper off after 2-3AM, and that means a dry morning commute.
Monday starts off dry and mild with a strong breeze. Any sun loses out to clouds by the afternoon as more scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm come rumbling on in. That rain is along a cold front that'll drop temperatures dramatically by sunset. Before we see that drop off, temps close in on the mid 50s late morning in Worcester County and near 60 in Boston by early afternoon.
The blast of much cooler air that moves in Monday night sticks around until Thursday morning. This stretch features temps in the 20s at night, and day time highs Tuesday and Wednesday only in the low to mid 40s.
Thursday may be a similar day to today with morning lows in the mid 20s and afternoon highs jumping up to near 60!
