Cool, But Bright
Posted by Chris Lambert
Bright skies and cool temps start off this Sunday morning, and with winds turning onshore this afternoon, it'll be another cool Spring day ahead. We keep the sunshine all day as temperatures near 55 inland and hold in the upper 40s at the coast. Fenway Park nears 50 degrees early this afternoon for first pitch, but falls into the 40s as an east wind kicks in. By game two this evening, temps will be in the lower to middle 40s.
Clear skies prevail overnight and with a dry airmass in place, temps tumble. Winds go light and areas outside the city of Boston fall to the freezing mark, if not just below it. In Boston, we'll remain in the upper 30s.
Tomorrow temps look like today's... upper 40s coast and mid 50s inland. We will notice more mid to high level clouds increasing in the afternoon and an east wind increasing to 15+mph.
The next chance for showers rolls in Tuesday as an area of low pressure passing just to east brings in a chilly northeast flow and some rain. Right now, the heaviest rain stays just offshore, but it's something we'll continue to track.
Enjoy the weekend and Go Sox!
