A Sense Of Normalcy

We have a simple message today. Early spring returns to New England for the next several days. That means we will start the day with a chill in the air and then by afternoon our temperatures will reach the low & mid 50s. No rainstorms in sight. See, that was simple!
That big storm that has been anchored up in Canada the past few days is moving away and that has been blocking the spring time air from reaching New England--that ends today as the storm moves farther away allowing our air to modify. The departing Canadian storm also *clears the runway* for a new storm to race toward New England tomorrow. Thankfully, all it will do is toss some clouds into New England late tonight-tomorrow morning as well as a few showers down along the south coast/cape/islands.
As we head into the weekend, high pressure is with us both days offering a healthy dose of sunshine. I do think Saturday will be a little cooler with most towns around 50 for afternoon temps (plan on upper 40s along the coast, Boston included). Daytime temps on Sunday will reach the upper 50s. There are signs that even warmer weather is set to arrive for a short time early next week......just in time for the Sox home opener.
