Watching a storm race up the east coast right now. A few weeks ago, this likely would have been a snowstorm with Pete typing this blog but not this go-around. the storm track is a bit farther southeast and that will carry most of the storm harmlessly out to sea. There will be a few sprinkles & showers from about Plymouth-Swansea and cities/towns south of there for a few hours this morning. Otherwise, just a bunch of clouds around metro Boston until early afternoon then increasing sunshine. A great way to start a weekend.
Our weekend will be rain-free but not cloud-free. Saturday offers a healthy dose of sunshine but temps won't be able to take advantage of all that April sunshine as most towns only reach 50-52 degrees by afternoon. Still great weather.
Sunday will be a warmer day but there's a catch (always is). A warm front responsible for the warmer day will be moving through New England during the morning hours producing a ton of clouds and even a sprinkle. After about 11am-12pm though, sunshine climbs out of bed and gets to work boosting temps close to 60 by afternoon.
Early next week keeps that warm theme going including the home opener out at Fenway. Plan on a mix of sun &clouds with game time temps in the upper 50s---a sea breeze may send temps into the low 50s by the 9th inning (5pm). More on that Monday.
Have a great weekend!
