No need to dwell on the past--as in yesterday's weather--let's move forward. It's a little weird to actually be rooting for a cool front (currently in NY/PA) but that's how things stack up in the world of weather. Yesterdays' storm is a slow mover and if it wasn't;t for the aforementioned front that storm would likely stay with us yet again. Not today though as skies will clear this morning from west to east. A return of sunshine means a return of springtime temps as most towns will bounce into the 60s & even low 70s by afternoon. Coastal areas will be the last to see that sun so that's also where the coolest temps will be found. Boston makes the mid 60s--cooler than Athol's temps of 70 but much much nicer than yesterday. A great afternoon to take in that game out at Fenway.
Tonight, that cool front (that throws us a bone today) will then toss some clouds & sprinkles our way late at night. That front will also weaken so when it slides offshore early tomorrow morning there won't be any cool air left in place. So....sunshine on Thursday will once again push temps up into the low 60s.
The weather pattern then goes into sleep mode beginning Friday and right through the weekend and into early next week. No complaints here. Sunny skies will prevail for several days with a gradual warming trend.
