I think the backdoor cold front is one of the wildest things Mom Nature offers us here in New England. Were you outside late yesterday afternoon/evening when it came through?! Temps dropped nearly 15-20 degrees along the coastline when the front came through. That front stalled out in western New England but it was successful in shoving out the late May warmth for a bit.
Today is a cooler day for everyone, a day where afternoon temps will be in the low-mid 50s along the coast and only near 60 farther inland (normal for this time of year). We will also see clouds in the sky at times--most of those clouds will be focused along the South Shore/Buzzards Bay and the Cape/Islands.
Your weekend is a dry one with partly to mostly sunny skies both days. In terms of the temps, it will be similar to today where inland cities/towns reach the low to mid 60s while coastal cities/towns climb at a slower pace reaching 60 by afternoon. For Sunday, you can add on 5 degrees for everyone (near 70 inland and 63 for the coast).
I'm not rooting for rain but we need it. No sign of rain until Wednesday of next week so water the lawns/gardens yourselves for a few more days.
Have a great weekend! Peace!
