The End Is Near
Posted by Jeremy Reiner
New week but we are still in the same weather pattern as last week with high pressure firmly in control across the northeast. That means after some early morning low clouds & fog, skies will be mostly sunny from mid morning and into the afternoon. That sunshine will boost temps into the upper 60s--low 60s along the coast. Nice spring day. Tuesday offers very similar weather with a little more humidity & warmth in the air as many towns see their afternoon temps soar into the 70s--even at the coast.
On Wednesday we see it all come to an end.
Blocking high pressure finally leaves New England and allows storminess in the south to move up into our part of the world in the form of clouds & a few showers. The storm will be a bit of a slow mover so most of Wednesday will be dry with showers holding off until late day. Of course, this slow-moving storm will keep the chance of rain here in New England quite high for the entire day on Thursday. Temps, naturally, take a hit on Thursday struggling to reach 60.
This storm will slowly exit the region on Friday only to make way for a whole new batch of rain for the upcoming weekend.
We do need rain though. It's time.
