From Fog to Summah
Posted by Chris Lambert
Patience pays off today. The mid-May sun angle is just as strong as late July/early August, and that means the low clouds and fog burn off by mid-morning. Once that occurs, temperatures jump up into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Mid to late afternoon, a sea breeze at the coast drops temps back a bit, but overall, the beach won't be a bad place to be this afternoon. The rain chance today is limited to an isolated shower or thunderstorm across southern N.H. or northern Mass, close to the N.H. border.
The Sox game tonight is dry with temps near 70 to start, then falling into the 60s. While the Sox game is dry, the overnight hours are not. After midnight, more showers and storms move in. A few of those showers and storms linger into the early morning hours Saturday, but from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, I do expect some dry stretches and temps spiking into the mid 70s. Late-day and into the evening, more thunderstorms come rolling in, some of which may be strong.
Sunday features lower humidity for mom, and mainly dry conditions. I say mainly dry, because I can't rule out a passing shower in a few towns, so keep the umbrella on standby just in case.
Have a good weekend!
