Another fantastic day ahead with a healthy dose of sunshine in store. This sunshine will be kept in check by a few clouds at times but a very nice day with low humidity & seasonable temps. Those clouds will gather in greater numbers late tonight & through the day tomorrow in advance of a developing weather system.
This system will actually come from 2 different areas of the country---Midwest and the Gulf Coast states. It's the latter that has my attention as that is tropical moisture. It's not a storm with a name or strong winds but this tropical moisture does have a lot of clouds & raindrops. Those raindrops will be widely scattered tomorrow afternoon & evening but will arrive in full force by Friday and Saturday.
Friday is a day full of clouds, showers, downpours & cool conditions with most towns stuck in the 60s for afternoon highs. This storm is with us Friday Night and Saturday morning with more rain--some of it locally heavy. I do think this storm will depart by midday Saturday but not before dropping between 1-2" of rain across the region. Some localized flooding is likely in southern New England by Saturday morning.
Saturday afternoon and Sunday will be the dry part of the weekend with some sunshine possible late Saturday and a better chance of seeing that sun on Sunday. It will be short-lived though as another rainstorm arrives by Monday and sticks with us for a few days. Heads up.....a wet & unsettled pattern is likely for about 7-10 days beginning on Friday.
