It's Getting Old

Another round of rain...and cool temperatures. June is living up to - or should I say down to - expectations. Some years, we can sneak out a pretty decent start to summer. Others, you need to 'wait for it'. This may be one of those.
That's not to say we don't have some decent days between rainstorms. Tomorrow may be one of them, but it's not looking like a super day. Clouds will have the upper hand, and there still may be a sprinkle early on, but still...it's not pouring and 55°.
No, for that you'd have to wait until Friday. More soaking rain in store, along with a chilly northeast wind. It's a coastal storm, and it means business. No doubt more flood watches will go up, as we're really filled to the brim with water:
Boston normally has 3.68" and Worcester 4.18 for the ENTIRE month of June. (Which is still quite a bit, mind you.)
Now the good news: the timing of these systems is ideal for a dry, summery weekend. And from my experience, as long as the weekends are nice, people often forgive and forget wet weather patterns. That may again be the case for this month.
