Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there, and to my dad as well. So what's on tap for the day? Golf, grilling, just hanging out? Whatever it is, all and all, it's still a pretty good day for dad weather-wise. I wish I could say the Father's Day forecast exactly repeats Saturday, but we do have a few late afternoon showers to track.
Those showers are scattered about after 3PM, so I don't expect a lot of rain, but an occasional nuisance shower strolls on through (only 30-40% of us get wet). Best chance to stay dry until dinner, will be close to the coast, especially the South Shore, Cape and Islands. Temps today are still mild, in the mid 70s to 80 .
A few scattered showers, and even a thunderstorm, rumble on through tonight as a bit of instability and more humid weather settles in. Monday is muggy with a few pop up storms in the afternoon and temps in the 80s. Tuesday features more scattered showers and thunderstorms with a muggy feel to the air. Those showers and storms are more widespread compared to what we'll see today or on Monday.
Beyond Tuesday, high pressure builds in from the northwest, and that means low humidity takes over Wednesday/Thursday before slightly warmer and muggier weather works in Friday/Saturday as that high slides just south of us. We could have a few scattered storms by Saturday afternoon, but that doesn't look like an organized area of low pressure, just some pop-up showers/storms thanks to humid weather, highs in the mid 80s, and a bit of instability to the atmosphere.
Have a good Sunday and Happy Father's Day.
