We'll Take Average

Well, we had a lot of clouds this afternoon, but at least not a lot of rain. Sure a few showers were out there, scattered about, but hopefully they didn't ruin any plans you had with dad. Temps made it into the mid to upper 70s, which is close to the average for this time of year. In fact, the whole 7-day forecast is within 5 degrees of average each and every day. That means lots of upper 70s and lower 80s on the board. Not bad being average this time of year, huh?
Other than a spotty passing shower tonight, it'll just be mostly cloudy and mild. That leads into a muggy Monday with a few pop up storms in the afternoon and temps in the low to mid 80s. Tuesday features more scattered showers and thunderstorms with a muggy feel to the air as well. Those showers and storms are more widespread compared to what we'll see today or on Monday.
Beyond Tuesday, high pressure builds in from the northwest, and that means lower humidity takes over Wednesday/Thursday. It's a close call on Wednesday with an ocean storm just to our south, but it still appears we're on the dry high. More mid to high clouds will bother the Cape and Islands, but it's a nice day overall.
Friday, into the weekend features highs in the lower 80s and once and a while a pop up storm, especially north and west of 495. With that said, much of that time frame is dry.
