Top Of The Mountain

Summer solstice occurred at 1:04am. Summer is here and it's time to enjoy. What a way to kick off many peeps fav season---mostly sunny skies, low humidity and seasonably warm temps (low 80s). Great day for all the outdoor activities--beach, pool, golf, tennis--you pick, it's great. Use that sunscreen though. Mainly clear skies expected this evening.
As we step into the first weekend of summer, it offers what you dream of on those dark and cold days in January---sunshine, some clouds, bit of a breeze and warm temps. Plan on afternoon highs into the 80s each day. Saturday is still comfortable in terms of humidity but Sunday will see the muggies make a return. Here in southern New England, there won't be enough humidity to pop late day t-storms but up north (as in Lakes Region, NH) there will be some widely scattered t-storms each afternoon. Beaches are expected to be dry each day. Again, #Sunscreen.
Looking into early next week, it's full on summer weather with hazy, hot and humid conditions anticipated. Most cities & towns get up near 90 by Monday and again on Tuesday. A slight chance of some afternoon t-storms is expected with a much higher chance of t-storms on Wednesday.
