Summer is just days old but we have ourselves a good ol fashioned hot pattern in store for a few days. It developed over the weekend as daytime highs on Sunday reached the low 90s and will continue yet again today with near record heat expected. In fact, much of the upcoming week will be hot & humid.
All this heat & humidity will lead to some isolated thunderstorms late this afternoon as well as Tuesday & Wednesday afternoons. If this is vacation week for you be sure to remember *isolated* as most towns will not see storm activity early in the week. As we roll toward Thursday a cool front will sag into southern New England and that front will ram into the heat & humidity still across southern New England leading to more widespread showers & t-storms Thursday & beyond.
There are signs in the long range that another unsettled weather pattern may be in the works late this week and continuing into next week. Until then, enjoy the hazy summer sun (Don't forget that sunscreen though!)
