Some wild weather across southern New England yesterday with an EF-1 tornado in Windsor Locks CT, a microburst in Agawam and numerous reports of flash flooding. Oh and it was wicked humid too. Similar weather on tap today.
I don't think we'll see as many tornado warnings as yesterday because the weather system (warm front) is a farther north today--up across central New England. This should preclude a repeat of Monday but there will still be showers/t-storms/downpours across the region really at any time through the course of the day. There will also be intervals of sunshine. Even the limited amount of sunshine will boost temps into the low 80s during the afternoon.
As we step toward Wednesday and beyond high pressure will shove this excessive humidity, clouds and rain out of here (well west of southern New England). This means increasing sunshine and higher temps with many towns in the mid 80s tomorrow and up near 90 on the 4th of July. In fact, beginning on Thursday, our afternoon highs will get close to 90 for several days to come. Just about ideal for holiday weekend plans. Be safe & enjoy!
